When the sun goes down, the fun is anything but over.  What’s more apres-ski in Pamporovo is inexpensive.  For those of you who are party animals, a beer costs around 60p, a bottle of wine £2, a freshly baked pizza is £1 and for the morning after a coffee costs 50p.

And there’s nightlife to suit all tastes; from the delights of the local folk restaurants that serve mouth-watering local specialities and extremely palatable Bulgarian wines, to laidback piano bars and discos.

As well as being an ideal centre for skiers, there’s plenty of family entertainment for those who simply want to enjoy a winter holiday in a beautiful mountain resort.  Try bowling, swimming or billiards or enjoy dinner at a BBQ restaurant with floorshow, traditional songs and dancing, or pay a fascinating visit to a traditional Rhodope home in one of the surrounding villages.

Day trips

Car hire can be arranged and among the most popular are day trips to Plovdiv, sightseeing in nearby Smolyan and a visit to Sofia and the Bachkovo Monastery.
